Ongoing Morning Bible Studies
9:30 – 11:45 am in the Fellowship Hall
- David and His Psalms, led by Madelin Barratt & Virginia Watson. A study of David's life in 1 and 2 Samuel and the corresponding Psalms he wrote during this time. We will be reading The Life of David by F.B. Meyer. The goal for our study of David, a man after God's own heart, is to make some discoveries between "then and now" that can promote spiritual growth in our lives today.
- The Gospel of John, Part I, led by Blair Simmons & Patty Butler. An in-depth Precepts study of Chapters 1-11 of the book of John in 18 lessons using a workbook. If you have never done a Precept study before, this is an opportunity to learn how to study the Bible for yourself using the Inductive method. You will learn and practice it through home study and in class. We anticipate a life-changing year as our understanding is stretched by John’s message to know our Lord Jesus in a new and glorious way.
- The Gospel of Luke, led by Carolyn Anderson & Melissa Fichthorn. An in-depth inductive study of the book of Luke in a highly interactive small group. Luke's gospel was written so that we "may know the certainty of the things [we] have been taught" -- a re-assurance that through Jesus' life and teachings one can know and experience life as God designed it.
- Great “GET” Experiences: Paul’s Missionary Journeys (Acts 13-28), led by Marg Peterson. A study of the first "Global Engagement Trips" and what they model for us today in living passionately for the Kingdom and reaching our friends and neighbors for Jesus Christ.
- Babes with Babes (mothers with infants), No Other Gods: Confronting Our Modern-Day Idols (study by Kelly Minter, begins January 12), led by Angie George, Allison Gaskins, & Libby Rice. This study encourages women to make room for God by dethroning the functional gods that clutter and claim their lives.
Saturday Morning Bible Study
Dates: Ongoing -- Saturdays, 9:30 - 11:30 am in the Board Room. Anyone can join at any time.
- Spiritual Blessings from the Old Testament, led by Ivana Rix. Join us in our ongoing study of the heroes and heritage of our faith through the history of the Israelites. You will be encouraged by God's faithfulness and character as He continues to move toward building a people for Himself. You will be strengthened as we apply what we learn to our lives today. This study is strong on both content and fellowship as we encourage one another and share our lives and struggles together. There is no cost for this study. For more information, contact Ivana Rix at irix@cox.net.
