The Details
The cultural shifts of the 1960s introduced Eastern mysticism and alternative spiritualities into the mainstream experience of American culture. Since then, various forms of nature-centered and neo-pagan spiritual practices have become widespread. Today, these ideas can be found everywhere. What should we know about these movements in order to better understand their adherents and their influence? How can Christians talk to co-workers, friends, and family involved in these alternate spiritual expressions? And what does the growing influence of these non-Christian spiritualities in America tell us about the place and influence of the church and Christianity in our contemporary culture?
Join us for this four-week class led by guest presenter Rev. Dr. Graedon Zorzi (Assistant Professor of Theology and Philosophy, Patrick Henry University) as we explore these questions and more!
We will meet in the TFCA Learning Center, Room 108, from 7-8:15pm every Wednesday from April 22nd to May 13th .
