How to read the whole Bible in reference to Christ

I often hear people say things like “I’m not a fan of the Old Testament” or “I prefer the New Testament.” But the fact is—the New Testament is incomprehensible apart from the Old Testament. The New is the climax, crescendo, and fulfillment of everything promised in the Old. To paraphrase the famous theologian Augustine, the New is concealed in the Old and the Old is revealed in the New.
