On October 24 at 7 p.m., we will be hosting another in our series of TFCA Forums. Cameron Cole will join us to share Offering Gospel Hope & Freedom to the Anxious and Stressed Out Young Person.”

Cameron is the Director of Children, Youth, and Family at Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham, AL. In addition, Cameron is the founding chairman of Rooted Ministry, an organization that promotes gospel-centered youth ministry. He is the co-editor of Gospel-Centered Youth Ministry: A Practice Guide (2016) and the author of Therefore, I Have Hope: 12 Truths that Comfort, Sustain, and Redeem in Tragedy (2018), which won World Magazine’s 2018 Book of the Year (Accessible Theology) and was runner up for The Gospel Coalition’s Book of the Year (First-Time Author). Cameron has a B.A. in Latin and English and an M.A. in Education, all from Wake Forest; he recently completed his Masters in Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary.

He is a prolific contributor to not just Rooted but also to The Gospel Coalition and Desiring God. Here are a couple of examples of his work:

·       A Crossless Gospel Makes Spineless Christians (TGC)

·       Child-Centric Families Dole Out God’s Passive Wrath on Kids (TGC)

·       Preparing Children For The Transgender Moment (Rooted)

·       Gospel Centrality in the Time of COVID-19 (Rooted)

·       The Joy That Lies Behind: One Place to Look When Tragedy Strikes (DG)

Cameron is a wealth of knowledge and experience in ministry to children, youth, and parents and we’re excited to host him here later this month! His visit is an example of our continuing desire to establish partnerships in gospel ministry and collaboration with leaders in many different areas to help TFCA continue to grow and develop as a church committed to Christ through discipleship, community, and mission.
