COVID AND TFCA SERVICES & EVENTS
(Updated April 3, 2022)
As we all continue to deal with the challenges and risks related to COVID-19 and its variants, the leadership of TFCA continues to closely monitor current local conditions, the CDC’s recommended guidelines and the Governor’s Executive Orders related to the pandemic.
After reviewing the local conditions and aligning with the most recent recommendations, we have chosen to make some additional changes related to our services and ministries.
Communion
We have made some important changes to how we serve communion at our 8am, 9am, and 11am services.
We have resumed our traditional Anglican practice of communicants coming forward to receive communion. If for any reason you choose not to receive the wine, simply indicate that to the priest/Lay Eucharistic Minister. There will also be a limited number of the pre-packaged wafer/wine sets available for those who would like to take communion that way (just ask the usher for one of those sets). Additionally, if you require a gluten free wafer, please let the priest/Lay Eucharistic Minister know.
Distanced Seating in the Sanctuary
Our dedicated “distanced seating” in the sanctuary has now been moved to the upper narthex for those wishing such precautions. Please notify the usher upon arrival if you would like to be seated in this area.
Children and Youth Ministry and Events
Children’s Ministry adheres to a standard health policy for the protection of children and volunteers. We ask all parents to promote wellness in our community gatherings by only bringing children to programs who have been free of any symptoms of illness for at least 24 hours before the event. We are respectful of individuals’ choices on social distancing and mask wearing for children and adults participating in our programs; we have disposable child sized and adult masks available if requested. If children in our care are exhibiting symptoms, such as runny nose, coughing, fever, nausea or other signs of sickness, we will call the parents right away for an immediate pick up. We care for one another by honoring these policies to ensure we stop the spread of all contagious illnesses in our ministry.
Youth Ministry takes a similar approach. We ask all parents to promote wellness in our community gatherings by only bringing students to programs who have been free of any symptoms of illness for at least 24 hours before the event. We are respectful of individuals’ choices on social distancing and mask wearing for anyone participating in our programs; we have disposable adult masks available if requested.
Livestreaming
We will continue to livestream our 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. services on Sundays.
Please continue to pray!
