Juliette Manise: Silent Night

Transcript

One of the best parts about Advent is just the time that you get to spend on reflecting, why we need a savior and what Jesus gives to us and gives us hope. And a fun way and a really meaningful way for me is Silent Night when we get to turn off all the lights and just sit in the silence and hear the beautiful music and just it's a time of a personal reflection of what Jesus came to do and how much He sacrificed for us and His love for us in that way.

And then another favorite tradition was when I was very little at the old church, there used to be a star by the organ and the star would ring and chime on Christmas Day when we sang Joy to the World. One of my favorite Christmas traditions is doing the Advent calendar with my family. We have one where every day we add a new element to the nativity scenes. So the first day's the moon. And then every day there's a little passage that goes along with it speaking about why this element is important for the Advent season. And then on the 25th day, we have baby Jesus. So that's one of my favorite ones.
