The TFCA Foster & Adoption Ministry
The TFCA Foster & Adoption Ministry grows out of our church's culture of care for the vulnerable, including foster youth and families in our own community and orphans worldwide. We seek to actively support the foster and adoptive families in TFCA through quarterly gatherings, a monthly prayer letter, and wraparound care for foster, adoptive, and biological families. During our annual observance of Stand Sunday/Orphan Sunday, we remind that not everyone is called to adopt or foster, but every believer can play a part in living out the "pure religion" that the book of James describes. This can include everything from mentoring foster youth or serving as a CASA to supporting families with meals, errands, babysitting, and much more. We desire to see our church continue to grow as a community known for welcome and care for the vulnerable, including the “orphan in distress” (James 1:27).
Here are some ways to get involved:
Sign up to join the Adoption and Foster Care Network on Realm -- you'll receive updates on our gatherings, prayer needs, and more.
Join us for our quarterly "Pizza & Prayer" fellowship (right after the 11 o’clock service).
Become a member of a wraparound support team for a foster, adoptive, or biological family needing support.
Offer to help the foster and adoption ministry leadership with organizing events.
