With the Lord’s leading, TCFA has developed a new ministry incorporating refugee care as an outreach ministry to share the eternal hope of the Gospel, and love of Jesus through welcoming and walking alongside our new neighbors as they transition to life in a radically new context. With a call to action, several parishioners, walking forward in faith have acted on this opportunity in welcoming refugees into their own homes, helped get into apartments and assisted them through the complexities of resettlement. The Refugee Care Ministry’s (RCM) purpose is to demonstrate and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in both word and deed to those resettling in our area. The Ministry was initially motivated by the unprecedented influx of individuals and families displaced by the fall of the Afghan Government. As we move forward, we are seeking parishioners to serve families of all nations as coordinators and facilitators in administrative needs, networking for employment, transportation, and prayer. God has graciously provided for many needs already and there has been much joy in following His second great commandment to love our neighbors as ourselves and to be available to go and make disciples of all nations.
Please consider joining the Refugee Care Ministry as we build our teams to serve. Contact Leland Penno for more information.
