Our Gunther Ministry Team is composed of A.J., MaryBeth, and Peter. After finishing active duty in the U.S. Army as a Chaplain under The Jurisdiction of the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy (JAFC), ACNA, A.J. served as a non-stipendiary priest for a season at TFCA from 2018-2019. He remains resident in the JAFC as a canon missioner and is licensed in the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic (DOMA). MaryBeth is a member of TFCA. She sang in the TFCA Choir and the 11:00 am worship team. She led worship music for the Thursday Morning Women’s Bible Study and the Friday Evening Healing Service prior to moving overseas. Peter participated in the middle school youth ministry. They were all involved in the Adoption and Foster ministries at TFCA in its early formation.
A.J. is the pastor of the English-Speaking Congregation (ESC) while serving as a staff member at All Saints Cathedral in Cairo, Egypt. MaryBeth leads the ESC choir, and she participates in the American University of Cairo chorale. The ESC is composed of expats, digital nomads, refugees, local Egyptians, short-term residents, and occasional tourists. A.J. and MaryBeth led worship music for the First Summit of the Global South Fellowship of Anglican churches (GSFA) in 2024.
Peter attends an international TCK (Third-Culture Kid) faith-based school in Cairo. He enjoys music, soccer, basketball, and art. He assists the cathedral verger in setting up Friday services. In loving art, Peter volunteers at the art studio located at All Saints Cathedral.
