New Property (2017-2019)

“John Yates announced during an 8 a.m. service that the vestry had decided to purchase a property not far from our former church home. This area is built up so that it was difficult to find a property large enough for our needs close to Falls Church. He did not tell the congregation where it was until the deal was completed. After the deal had concluded and the four-acre property was ours, the congregation was informed that the plans included tearing down the existing parking garage on the west side of the office building and building a six-story garage on the east side of the existing building. A new sanctuary would be built where the old parking garage stood. That pledge has been met. We have had a second pledge to build the new sanctuary. The total cost of our new quarters is $57 million.”
