Steve and Nancy Brown

Nancy and I, serving with SIM, are originally from Raleigh, NC and Roanoke, VA, but have been members of The Falls Church Anglican since 1991. We were sent out from The Falls Church Anglican in 1997 with our two sons Bryce (6) and Joel (4) to bring the gospel to the nomadic Wodaabe Fulani of Niger, West Africa. Our vision was to share Christ in this 98% Muslim nation, while using our skills as a groundwater specialist and a nurse to help the people with water and health care.

We were missionaries in Niger for 23 years, where we served mainly in church planting, evangelism, and discipleship among the Fulani. We found the Word of God to be powerful. We have many stories to tell! Our last four years in Niger were in hospital administration. We then served 2-1/2 years with SIM in France. There, we served in a missionary member care ministry called Le Rucher, debriefing missionaries needing care and training missionaries in member care.

We are serving now with SIM in Charlotte, NC. Nancy is a member care facilitator at SIM USA providing support to missionaries serving throughout the SIM world. At SIM International, Steve is working to see the gospel go out to the 40+ million Fulani people in 25 countries of Africa, and is in ministry as a mobile chaplain to the many fields of SIM worldwide.
